Todd was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, where his parents, Sharon and Steven Blumenfeld, and brother Scott, still reside. In 1999, Todd went to Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 2003. While there, he met Ashli Rosenthal Blumenfeld. Following college, Todd and Ashli both went to New York City in 2003, where Todd worked in the Promotions Department at RCA Records. In 2005, he enrolled at Brooklyn Law School where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2008. He continued to work for RCA Records managing College Rock Promotions throughout college.
Ashli and Todd moved to Ashli’s home town of Fort Worth, Texas the summer of 2008 and were married later that year. In 2008, Todd began his career as a lawyer at the firm Friedman, Suder, & Cooke, where he later became Partner in 2016. His legal practice there focused on patent litigation, other civil litigation, and corporate work representing numerous food manufacturing entities on various aspects of their business. On January 1, 2019, Todd partnered with fellow lawyer Jennifer Bley Sweeny to form Blumenfeld & Sweeny, LLP. He focuses on providing general legal counsel for small and medium-sized business, mostly food manufacturing businesses and intellectual property licensing.
Todd is a board member at the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and previously served on the Board of Directors at Beth-El Congregation.
Ashli and Todd enjoy spending their free time with their two children – Elanor, seven years old, and Will, five years old, and their dog Theodore – as well as with extended family and friends. Favorite pastimes include cooking, trying new restaurants, golf and traveling.
